This is nothing new or unique. It has been going of for years. Ford off lease vehicles go to auction, the dealer does not keep them. Unless they changed it the past couple years. With respect to warranty, as long as you purchase it from a Ford dealer with warranty you are fine. My F250 was a Canada off lease imported back to the U.S. by Ford. The computer keeps data in both km and miles. They just change the cluster face and set it to miles. It still has the sticker that says cannot be exported back to the USA but I purchased it certified pre-owned with 100k mile warranty in tact from a Ford dealer.
