With respect to warranty, as long as you purchase it from a Ford dealer with warranty you are fine. My F250 was a Canada off lease imported back to the U.S. by Ford. The computer keeps data in both km and miles. They just change the cluster face and set it to miles. It still has the sticker that says cannot be exported back to the USA but I purchased it certified pre-owned with 100k mile warranty in tact from a Ford dealer.
Be very careful, if a dealer offers warranty, theirs or the factories, get it in writing. A friend of mine bought a Canadian Ford truck from a Ford dealer in New York state. He was told by the dealer the truck was under the original factory warranty. When he had a CEL a few weeks later, the warranty claim was denied because the truck was first titled in Canada.
Probably taking advantage of the historically weak Canada to US dollar. But like mentioned, who and how the vehicle gets brought back impacts the warranty if any.
