- MeandMyLabsExplorerWe replaced our booth in our slide with two Laz-Y-Boy rocker recliners and did not fasten them down. The do not move.
I think a lot depends on where the loveseat/chairs are located. If they are in a slide which is usually located toward the middle of the TT from front to back, they get a much smoother ride. If they were located in the very back, like in a rear living situation, many owners say they need to fasten them in some way or they will move or flip.
I have a small table lamp just sitting on the table next to my bed in the very front. The lamp is not fastened down and it does not more or tip over. If I were to put that same lamp on a table in the back of my trailer, it would not survive a 10 mile trip. - djtkachExplorerOurs is not anchored - came that way from the factory. Our last trip out we hit a nasty bump, and when we got to the destination the sofa was in the kitchen. Fortunately it couldn't go far, but my spring maintenance includes finding a way to anchor that baby down.
- Double_HaulExplorerThank you all for the responses. Looks like I should be OK.
- BarneySExplorer IIINeither our loveseat, recliner chair, or 4 dining table chairs ever move at all and they are just sitting on the carpet. They are located in the middle of the trailer though and not in the rear like a lot of RV's.
Barney - FishermanExplorerDon't drive like a madman and it won't go flying around, barring that, get the kids/grandkids to chew up a couple of big wads of bubblegum, apply to the loveseat feet. That should hold it down..:D
- ashnicExplorerWe have dual lazy boy rocker recliners in our's...doesn't move at all..
- thewhitehatExplorerMy TT came with wall-mounted straps to hold the swivel rocker, the dining chairs AND the large loveseat in place.
- CavemanCharlieExplorer IIII would suppose it all depends on how heavy the loveseat is how much your TT bounces. The bigger heavier TT probably don't bounce as much as the smaller ones. It might also depend on if it's in front or behind the axel I suppose.
- powderman426ExplorerMy jack knife sofa was replaced with a wall hugger recliner and hasn't moved an inch in our travels. Now I'm looking for a second one to fill the empty space.
- pawattExplorerOur Hide a bed that came with the RV is not attached to the floor. 30,000 miles with no problems.
