manual over ride

I asked this before but I can't find the responses to my question now. Sorry for the repeat but I will right down the answers/inputs after this one. I am looking to locate the manual override for the slide out on my 2014 Springdale 266rlls TT. Thank you for any help on this question. I called Keystone several times and have not gotten any response.

Thanks in advance
Tony
  • Also I was wondering if it is okay to walk on the slideout to clean it off and inspect for any damage etc.
  • What kind of slide operating system?
    Hydraulic, electric---what type of electric?
Each has their own way of manually operating

    Walking on slide......?
    Do you mean the roof?

    If roof.....NO
Clean and inspect via trailer roof and/or a ladder.

Also one should not walk on floor of slide out when it is retracted (closed) if it is a flush floor design (flat with floor when open/tilted up when closed)
  • Here's a YouTube link put out by Keystone. This may help. At least it will give you something to look for. Look under your camper and if the underbelly is enclosed, look for the little square area, unscrew it and see if the slide motor is the same as on these videos. Mine is.

  • the slide is the living area, the love seat, and dinette. It's an electric slide (not sure what kind of electric) yes I mean the roof of the slide out.
  • check the outside of your unit on the opposite side from your slide and see if there is a black grommet with a hole in it. This would indicate a manual slide override with a crank the dealer should have supplied. Do not step onto your slide out roof.
  • thanks for the inputs. I will look at the youtube video and will look at the TT to see if it looks the same. I now know how to clean the roof of the slide out. thanks so much for the helpful info to all of you.
  • 'DutchmenSport'
That's a good video.....covers both hydraulic and electric
    Should help 'sluggo68' out.
