Thinking about going back to two wheels. I usually tow my 91 Yj wrangler with my 01 dodge 2500 4x4 cummins with a six-pac camper. Truck handles the job well but I'm getting tired of dragging it along. Extra load on truck , more fuel , can't back up , ect ect. What I would like to do is carry a Rokon trail breaker on the front. Light bike , 200 pounds plus weight of carrier. According to my dodge manual this truck is rated for a 633 pound snow plow so I don't see how weight could be an issue. Anybody here carry a bike on the front of you're truck with a tc on it? Thanks Joe.

There are quite a few who do although I don't. Other than visibility, etc, there shouldn't be an issue.

I carry a Yamaha TW200 on the front of mine. Plenty of sight clearance but some blocking of headlights. I have enough through, with the fogs on, to drive safely though. I rarely drive after dark anyways.My carrier is a tilting model, makes loading very easy, one man job. My truck with camper rides much nicer with the motorcycle on the front. I suppose the extra weight is making a better balance? With camper, my front is only 200 pounds more than unloaded (w/o motorcycle) and 550 pounds with the motorcycle and carrier(Let me know if the photo is viewable. Been using Google Photos and other forums state they can't see 'em)

I carried a Honda Trail 90 for many years on the front of my truck with no problems.

I have a 2001 Ramm 3500 diesel that I carry a drz400 on a CycleGear hitch rack on the front. Bike and rack weigh around 400lbs. If I go over a bump hard I get a little slap but it is rare. Visibility is reduced but still safe to drive. Night driving is harder because the bike blocks a lot of the light. I removed the relay that only turns the fog lights on when low-beam is selected and jumped the terminals with a wire so fog lights work when high beams are on too. This helps but is still not perfect. My plan is to add LED spotlights to the front of the bike carrier and wire in a plug that connects to the fog light circuit. In hindsight, I would have purchased a carrier that can easily hold a gas can too. I need to weld a platform to hold a gas can on the carrier securely enough for me to trust it on the road.I really like this setup and recommend it to anyone with a camper and a single bike. TO the OP if the smaller bikes arent enough power for you I have a Husqavarna 701 which is about the same weight as most of the 250 bikes but it has substantial amount of power. A little on the pricey side though.

This rack was fabricated by a welder friend, so capacity(liability) is unknown. I found those front hook receiver's replacements on EBay and had the cinch bolts added and that got us started. My thinking was 2 supports were better for a rack.

Travel Ram, I am very interested in your setup. What kind of rack is that and what is the capacity? I currently have a front hitch and rack but the capacity is 500lbs. I would love to take one of my heavier bikers (530 lbs)and I am looking for a hitch/carrier with a higher capacity.

Any issues with having your headlights/marker lights and turn signals blocked? Obviously driving at night would be tough.

From my personal experience you will need to watch your transmission temperature closely in the summer using your air conditioner.

Here's my Honda 250 Ram 3500/Lance set up . Has worked out super over the last 4yrs. Almost no wobble, as for night driving you do get reflection from truck light... but I'm old and don't drive at night:B

Room for ramp with 2 21/2 gal can strapped on top.

2 rack/frame supports and a bar attached to where the passenger peg would go, very solid.
