My engine woes!

As most of you know my 07 5.9 threw a rod back in Jan and I ended up ordering a long block from Cummins Performance Parts on Jan 5th. It took them a while to find a buildable core and the engine has been built for over a week now. I was told by CPP that the engine would ship Mon or Tues of last week. However when we had recieved no shipping info on Tues I called to see what was up. CPP told me it would ship by Friday however we still never recieved any info. So tried to call Fri and never got an answer and my shop here got through however was told that the shipping department had just closed. So I got on CPPs FB page and asaked on there and he swore it shipped on Tues. So now I have had two different answers anway he gave me an email to get a status today. Have I recieved an emai? No. I did however call the carrier and they were able to tell me that the engine did ship on Friday and will be here Tues. I did call them again before I called the carrier and never got anyone to answer. Just a warning if you order anything from them they may do good work however their communications sucks. Do your research before hand. I had done some and didn't find much on them I should have checked the BBB as I would have seen that is a continuing issue with them.

Not to speculate but if this is built in PA it may be the weather that is causing delays and the inconsistent service.

I thought that too at first however he told me it shipped Tues then said it would ship by Fri then said it shipped Tues. So he does not know wha is going on with the shipping at all and I had to call the carrier myself to get the tracking info when the were supposed to send that out when the engine was picked up.

See if they can provide shipping number, tracking or an air way bill.

    Not trying to be rude.

If you read my first post I did say I ended up calling the shipping company and was able to get the tracking info from them. The engine made it to El Paso last night and will be delivered to my shop here tomorrow.

  • I see you first posted about your troubles on 12/30/14. Hope they get you going soon.

  • Sorry to hear and thanks for the update... Hope it goes much better going forwards.
  • Hope the quality of the engine is better than the quality of their service. You deserve to catch a break.
  • Sorry to hear that. Hope it all goes together in the end!
