my loaded weights,??

heading to Oregon.
Ram 3500 SRW
diesel
GVAW front 6000 rear 7000 truck GVWR 12,300
after loading everything up, got it weighed
Front 5450
Rear 6650
Total 12,100

I know I am under, but it is so close. is it really ok
  • No worries. That truck can pull way more than that. Where are you heading to?
  • you have the fudge factor
    and the legal gap factor.

    and the what/if factor..

you are good to GO........ Have a Safe and Fun trip.

remember to check the air and tire temperature every chance you get.
  • Under is great. Equal-to is fine. Over isn't always that bad depending on a lot of other things.
    Your in great shape.

    X2!
  • just spent 2 weeks Bullard's beach, am in Klamath now, and have to go back to California for more chemo, then back to coast
    thanks all.
I do not know what everyone carries in back of truck, but seems we should all be close if hauling a 5er. and mine is only 30'. cardinal GVWR is 12,300
of course it is a 2001. probably heavier back then
  • Just for comparison purposes, I hauled a 37' 14,500 GVWR 5th wheel with a Chevy 2500 diesel. The Chevy hauled it really well. Your Ram will haul your lighter trailer with ease.
  • You're good! Enjoy. Can't do much better then you already have for a tow rig even if you wanted to.
And best of luck with the treatments. Keep yer head up!
