No. I would think that's all I would need Hedge. Thanks. The DVD plays through the audio/ video cables. The Antenna connection is just a cable connection to an outlet. A splitter would allow me to switch from the antenna, to catv with the flick of a switch. Thanks.

hmm, not sure on that one. It sounds like your tv connection port is different than mine. I'm not sure if you could use a combiner or if the signals would interfere. Just off the top of my head i'd probably use a coax switch mounted in the cupboard but then you'd have to flip the switch to the source you wanted. I'm not sure how these things are usually wired up, hopefully someone else will come along with a better solution.

Thanks Hedge. That is a great idea. Should make for a pretty easy retrofit.Something to look into when the weather warms a bit. Any thoughts about connection at the tv? It feeds through a catv line into a finished connection. There is no booster button ot the antenna. Maybe some type of splitter?

It would be pretty easy to run a cable.

If you pull the microwave you can drop a wire right down into the 'service center' and then just run the cable along the top of the cupboard with the rest of the wiring over to the tv location.

I ordered mine with the 19" tv. It has the internal tv antenna. I have to say it is better than my crankup we have on our travel trailer. However there is no external CATV Connection. That is a let down.The tv is 12 volt as well as the jensen dvd player . Which has Blue Tooth. Yet to use that feature. Ordered without the Oven option. However I do like the microwave.

Congrats. Cant go wrong with Adventurer. We bought a 2012 Adventurer 86 FB and really liked it. nice 4 season TC with good size tanks. I really like the layout and roomy wet bath. I regret selling it to this day. We planned on going to a Fifth wheel or C class but circumstances changed.

^ I don't think you could leave the tailgate on as I believe it would interfere with the support beams for the steps. I wouldn't want to leave it on anyways and run the risk of it getting beat up. My tailgate comes off in about 15 seconds.

Nice camper but I'm biased, I have the same one in a 2013 model. I like some of the changes they've made over the last couple years but still happy with this one. I've had no problems with it at all.

I haven't really done many mods but I have done a few small things
1. converted to external power cord (yours already has that)
2. added 12v + usb plugs
3. converted tv+blu ray player for 12v use
4. mine didn't come with ac so I had a low profile coleman unit installed.
5. removed the microwave and installed a door.

I'd like to come up with some way of building some type storage into the wings, there's so much wasted space there being on a short box truck.

Does the fact that this is a short bed/long bed design mean you can leave the tailgate on (obviously in the down position) when you load it? Is that recommended?

Tom, we had very similar experiences. Traveling to a destination we would want to stop for lunch or some attraction. Trying to find a place to park a 50+' combination was frustrating.

One time Cathy, the 2 kids (when they were kids) and I went to the aquarium in Connecticut during a 3 day trip. We arrived very early and despite my best efforts to avoid getting blocked in, a few thoughtless idiots did just that. We had to wait nearly 2 hours for them to leave.

Well that is the thing. When our kids were small we had a travel trailer at a campground in Vermont as a seasonal. We would pull out and hit the road . Then we gave the seasonal up and just went differant places. Now our kids are older. One in college, the other in High School. The travel trailer doesn't get the use it used too. Growing up my dad had a slide in truck camper that we used when I was a kid. I always like the ability to stop when you wanted. My wife more times years ago towing the trailer wanted to stop along the way to a destination. However with a 30ft traler it was always a pain I would rather live without. Now its possible. Also my younger daughter and I atv ride in NH. Having the truck camper is a huge plus for a young ladie when you get back to the patking lot after a ride. It is such a huge conveniece.

About 12+ years ago our first TC was an Adventurer 810ws very similar to your layout. We really liked it but our kids were growing like nuts and we went to a TT for a few years.
