myrv linc tablet in newer TTs, anyone with experience?

To answer all or most of the question about the MYRV tablet that is being used is made or manufactured by LCI, yes you still have manual switches in case the tablet or wifi fails or tablet fails. its a convenience for using your leveling jacks,awning etc etc. Yes the wifi range is a issue right now, but LCI has worked out to have repeaters installed to help with the issue. As of right now, you are limited to only using there tablet as the APP is not available to download at this time. OH, I forgot to mention at the beginning of this post, I'm a RV tech for a dealership located in Houston, I've been a RV tech for over 8 years now and I have plenty of experience with the MYRV setup. In all its to bring the TT to the same level as class A coaches.

the tablet will also display tire pressures and tank levels as well. just FYI.

we ordered a different RV that will not be coming with this system so a moot point now...

I wont slam a system, but I agree - what the heck is wrong with hitting a few switches to operate? Most RV's don't cry out for automation, do they? Really?

New member here, but really interested in this feature as I have damaged my trailers in the past due to ignorance and faults of leaving things in the wrong areas/a broom falling over and jamming my slide. I like the idea that I can assess my camping area and the inside before activating any slide/awning. The lights and tank features really don't matter to me unless it has some kind of alert that goes off when all the kids are in and out of the camper taking showers/using the bathroom endlessly like there isn't a cap to the tanks. Being able to walk to the back slides and make sure all cabinets/foldouts are up and then activating the slide while watching to make sure of no possible damage seems a good thing to me when you can't depend on someone else to watch the areas. The key fob mentioned earlier scares me if there is no emergency stop in case of possible collision with a tree/other object. We are planning on upgrading to either a Flagstaff 831BHDS, VIBE 803BHS or VIBE 312BHS. The Flagstaff is the only one that the dealership doesn't offer the tablet stock. I'm going to keep searching the forum in hopes of reviews on the system. I'm leaning towards the Flagstaff, but like the idea of remotely controlling the systems independently on the VIBE.

I'm guessing eventually, just about all RV's will use this technology.
Not too many years ago power windows and air conditioning were 'options' on cars and trucks.
Now they are found on most vehicles.

People go camping to get away from it all, but take it all with them, I guess it's normal to use things that are convenient.

I take this as Automation v1.0. Yes, right now, it's more of a novelty as it doesn't exactly save you time or much effort in what the device controls today. Having electronic access to all of the manuals and user guides at your fingertips is a nice feature. I can see future versions including monitors and alarms for the tanks, battery and other aspects of the unit.
