Looking for a 1000w pure sine inverter in Canada for under $200. Must have remote on/off switch. The key is it must be in Canada, from online retailer or sticks and bricks store.

Suggestions? I like the Motomaster 1000w pure sine, but the $ is $280 plus tax.

I don't know why $200 is your limit..you may have to bend that a bit. You also may not end up a happy camper with the cheapest thing you can find.

You may be able to use Greyhound to ship if your seller is willing to drop it off at a bus terminal. You would still need to go to a bus terminal across the boarder, but they are plenty. I just used them to ship two vintage nightstands from WA to AZ and it cost about 1/3 of UPS and about 1/2 of LTL. You just need to go pickup, which is not a big deal.

Whatever happened to NAFTA anyway?

Don't forget AlbertaNewbie, that you get what you pay for.
Canadian Tire does have inverters but so do RV dealers.

Yes, and the rv dealers around here want $1300 for a 600w pure sine that i can buy on amazon.ca for $400 with free shipping. The gopower500 MSW is $1000. Just goes to show you when you live in the City that does 1/3 of the rv sales for all of Canada they are all here to rip us off.

On the Canadian Tire website, this week they are advertising the 3000 watt Motomaster modified sine wave inverter on sale for $175.00. I have 3 Motomaster branded inverters and have never had issues with them.

Hi,

I don't own one. Xantrex replaces them during the warranty. There are no parts available for repairs. Hence, if they fail, they are a throw away.

Hi Fred,

The Xantrex at that level is a "throw away" unit.

How long did yours last?

What redracer said. A lot of US companies will only ship UPS. The cheapest brokerage fee i've ever seen from U'r Personally Screwed is $25 and have had upwards of $100 on items costing as little as $40, and payment is due at the door for delivery.

$200 isnt that far off what i see the 1000's go on sale for, regular price is $280-600.

Thanks ... Eric

Just bought mine from crappy tire last week, was on sale for $159.00. It was not advertised in the flyer, went in on a whim and thar was that orange sign. Have you gone into a store and looked?
