Never Wet

Has anyone researched using Never Wet,on rubber roofs.
It seems like it would be a good idea, if it is compatible with the rubber.

Roof mfgs don't recommend anything be used on their roofs including protectants, etc.
  • Thanks everyone, I was just reading about some of it's uses, and it started my curious mind.
  • I always go to Amazon.com and look up products like this. After reading the comments I will not be using it on anything I own.

My thinking the less I mess with my rubber roof the better. If you clean them so they are nice and white you have removed some of the roof material to get it that way.
  • don't know exactly why you want to apply it but if it is for mold prevention I kept having to chlorox my cedar siding and my neighbor recommended wet and forget which he got at Sam's or costco. took mold off with chlorox, then sprayed W&F. worked great, just spray it every six months-year and no more mold. don't know if it will eat up EPDM however.
much easier/cheaper than the referenced product.
    bumpy
  • I think the big question would be, how long will it last on the roof?

If it lasted a couple years I think it may be worth the expense.

I have read some reviews that it needs to be reapplied frequently, but that was about a year ago. Maybe it's improved and will last longer.

It does seem like a good idea.
