Have you asked Bigfoot what the actual length of the bed support is. Maybe you can fit in a longer mattress.

On our 5th wheel, the wife wanted a better mattress. We bought a longer one than was original. I extended the bed support at the foot.

On our TC we installed a smaller mattress and push it toward the foot. It's probably a 74". There's probably 6" at the head we fill with a couple of swim noodles to keep it in place.

Stick 4 inches of foam at the top of the mattress and your good to go. I wear 4E wide shoes, hard to find. That's life get over it.

I've noticed that as Northwood Manufacturing redesigns their RV's they update to the residential size queen beds.

I'm over 6' and have clearance issues in the Bigfoot even though I like their layout. I feel much more comfortable in the Northern Lite and would chose one over Bigfoot if I was looking for a fiberglass tub camper.

We go every February to the RV show in Seattle, to see what is new and and what has not changed even if we are not shopping for a camper. Sometimes there are innovative changes or accessories that can be incorporated into our camper, so I am always look at how the other guys do things. Glad DH is 5'2 and I come in at 5'3' so no worries here.

I' 6'2" and the short queen size bed isn't a problem. Just clear the AC unit

The industry even has a name for it: "travel queen". I had a 32' Airstream trailer with a huge bedroom, still had the travel queen.

I have a 1991 Six-Pac model 78S...The bed is a 3/4 full size. okay for one, Sardine Can for two. That is why we are probably going to do the same and go for a TT.
