With the help of Facebook I was able to purchase the spare tire mount that was missing from my bed. Media blasted, painted and got it in place with new spare tire. I sure do get a lot of questions when out and about ref the spare tire side door also see guys my age eye balling from a distance trying to figure out why the wheel base looks strange they usually come over and ask few questions.

To answer you question I missed some time ago I ordered the rear wheels from Coker Tire in Chattanooga TN. Wheels are 10" wide x 16". According to the door sticker the truck came with 16.5" wheels but someone before me had changed them to 16" Ford stamped wheels I keep them on the front and used one as a spare.

All F350 Camper Special had 140" wheel base which was 7" longer
than regular cab F150 and F250 with 133" wheel base.
This did not allow room for a spare tire mounted in the back of the axle so it goes in a special right side storage compartment in front of rear tire.

Very nice job on a great truck. I've had ours for 2 years now and I am always surprised at how many people stop by the campsite to ask about the rig when they are out for an evening stroll.

Did you end up going with 16" tires? I had Stockton Wheel duplicate my super singles in 16" so I could keep the original look.

These things haul a heavy load with ease. I installed Firestone airbags on mine because I already had them and I only use them to help level out at the campsite. I only carry 10 psi (the minimum) in them when we are on the road.

I once had a '76 1/2 ton and later a '79 3/4 ton Ford truck. They're great trucks and you have truly done a great job with yours. Your's sure brings back some memories.
