but this thread was about how much BS was posted with the "news and features" of the Atlis truck.
I did not get that BS vibe from the OP. Was it in the video?
I watched part of the video, but listened to none of it, but did notice all their "whiteboard items". There just seemed to be waaay too much hoopla with very little data. Their 15 minute recharge time seems to be way out of reach for a battery pack that would propel that truck at the speeds and range they were putting out there. All the pictures looked to be photoshopped with no real truck in evidence. To me it just looked like a lot of hype to get people to "invest" in their company. By "invest" I mean "Give them money that they can do with as they wish".
I've seen quite a few of these "crowd-funding" schemes go up in smoke and take people's money with them. They all show amazing and futuristic products with little in the way of physical evidence that it's more than just smoke and mirrors. There's always lots of "It's almost here", "We're nearly ready to ship", "Just a few hurdles before it's done", "We had a few missteps, but smooth sailing now". And then the "Sorry" just before they fold their tents and disappear into the night.
No BS from the OP, it's very possible that they thought it was a legitimate car/truck venture.
