The remote locks are gaining market share as RV builders tend to use them more. Possibly a good product, I don't have one. What I do have is a steel strap across the entry door and a padlock, used when I'm away from trailer for any appreciable time. It won't eliminate a B&E but will slow down any big items that need to come through a door opening.
One of the best theft deterrents is a set of good neighbors. Maybe your new campground will have folks that like to keep a watch on things. Hopefully.

You don't owe anyone an explanation. Filter the answers to the tips about securing/insuring your trailer/belongings and ignore the rest.

I'm curious, why all the drama? What makes anyone a "hater" when they're merely pointing out the obvious - recreational vehicles are just that - recreational, intended for intermittent use for recreational purposes, not for full time living. That some may use theirs otherwise is irrelevant, no different than using a wrench when a hammer is the proper tool, and pointing this out doesn't make that person a so-called "hater" either. Surely you can come up with more rational reasons than name calling to defend the use of a recreational trailer for purposes for which it was not intended. :S

In your original post you said you were a newbie ... if so, be aware that a lot of parks take a very dim view of leaving a dog in a camper unattended so you'd want to check into this before committing to the idea. ;) Unfortunately it seems you haven't been convinced that these are recreational vehicles intended for intermittent recreational use, not full time living. :R

Just a side note, don't put locks on the propane tanks. They are intentionally left unlocked. That allows fire department to turn them off quickly and if safe to do so, they can remove them.
