New TT in my future??

Considering going the TT route after years of MH and TC use. Smaller scale for the wife and myself. I am considering now starting with a new truck purchase- either a new 2018 Ram 1500 CC 4x4 6'4" bed and Ecodiesel with 3.92's or a 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie CC 4x4 6'4" 5.7 hemi and 3.92's. This truck will be my daily driver- really not wanting 3/4 ton truck. Would the factory 4 corner air suspension be a benefit or detriment?

TT would be 22' or less- maybe a Lance or ?? Looking for other recommendations of a quality all-season TT.

Thanks for your feedback.

Yeah, checked it and the ecodiesel in your configuration isn't towing much of anything, 1,100lb max payload, no way you're towing a heavy Lance or ORV trailer with that.

we tow 7000 lb with a 2017 ram 1500, hemi, 8 speed, standard rear axle rather than the 3.92
with the 8 speed, the 3.92 is not needed imho. then we get better mileage when not towing as well. "off the line" performance is still plenty when towing and with the 8 speed the truck has plenty of ratios for highway speeds, one downshift at highway speeds is an rpm boost of 500 rpm, plenty for most hills, another downshift is another 500 rpm
our mileage is around 9.5- 10 L/100km not towing and 22-24 L/100km towing at highway speeds, very respectable as far as we're concerned
ours has the towing package but NOT the air suspension, I wouldn't go for the air suspension, we have plenty of payload leftover anyway

Fish, while it may not bite you don't go against the rule. Buy or select the TT first, then buy a truck.

If you go the ecodiesel route be sure to check payload, the 2018 RAMs are better than a few years ago but still tend to have the lowest payload of the big 3 and the ecodiesel isn't light. The 2019 will probably be good on payload since they included a lot more aluminum which should allow for better payload capacities.
