So if they don't do the full service routine, clean windows front back and side mirrors I did the headlamps also and would get some nice tips too!), ask to check oil and if under the hood check the washer fluid, brake fluid and look at the air cleaner. Then why in the heck would someone want to pay for an attendant?
If you didn't do all the things I mentioned you would get fired! For every item we sold out at the pumps you got 15 cents. That doesn't sound like a lot but at the end of the week you could easily pull in a extra 20 bucks! In the mid 70's that was a lot of money! Besides washing the front windshield sometimes got you a view of..... well I'm sure all the guys that worked the fuel islands know what I'm talking about!!!! :p :B
