No Inner seals on slideout????

im looking at my 2014 Primetime Tracer 2670. it has the one main slide. On the outside it has the tube like seal that seals the unit when it is closed... it also has the little wiper things to squeeze out the water when opening and closing..when i look inside the camper there is no tube like seal on the inside, only another set of wiper seals??? the only thing preventing water from coming in is two sets of wiper seals.. Is this the way its supposed to be? maybe factory forgot to install? I have a slide topper that stops the rain from hitting top of slide, but im wondering if this will be an issue years down the road? I just noticed this two years after I purchased unit..
Long story short, i only have one main tube style seal on the ouside of the unit and one wiper seal on outside and one wiper seal on inside but no tube seal on inside...what should I do????

    Simply a bad design for saving few $$. like many Forest River product

    Yup, i just got off the phone with both primetime and accuslide... both say this is normal... they dont put an inner bulb seal on these and that the two wiper seals will keep the rain out.. both reps also say that i am doing the correct thing closing the slide when i leave the campground for the week..even though im on seasonal site... accuslide says the slides are always sealed better when closed and that opening and closing keeps the wipers and the slide running effeciently...

    It may depend on the brand of slide room. My trailer has a Schwintek, and yes, there is a bulb seal on the outside, another bulb seal on the inside, plus two wiper seals. So when it's all the way in, or all the way out, there are three seals in play.

    i don't have that brand but mine seals with roofing material against the interior framing of the trailer.


    i am not sure how to describe...the trim that kinda looks like it's job is to keep the slide from falling outt he side of the camper has roofing material on the back side of it which seals against the outer wall of the camper.

    Yeah, i might do that. This June would be two years of ownership. Warranty ran out one year ago.. I am only gonna assume that if these seals are missing that the dealer and/or Primetime would tell me tough luck and charge me. Just the way my luck has been lately.. I would be livid though, that this would pass the factory inspection and then pass the dealer inspection only for me to notice this mistake two years later...thanks

    I would go to your dealer and take a look at other trailers like yours on the lot. If they look like yours then that is how yours is supposed to be. If they all have another seal, then it is time to talk to the dealer.

    I guess this is one more reason why I close my slide every weekend when i leave my seasonal site.. Dont get me wrong... the Primetime so far in two years has treated me great(knock on wood) and so far doesnt seem to leak. But seems odd that this cable slide would not have a compression seal on the inside of the slide. I just wonder how two wiper seals all the way around keeps rain water out... Maybe im just being paranoid..LOL.
