Noisy toilet seat

I have a new Winnebago Micro Minnie and the toilet seat makes a lot of cracking sounds when you set on it, anyone had this problem and is there a solution.

Silicone spray works well with plastics.

The Dometic 310 has the same dimensions and mounting hardware as the 300 so it is all plug & play and easy to do. It took me less than 30 minutes to swap. Both come in standard and low profile height so, if you switch, make sure you get the same height type unless you want something different.

If it is a Dometic 300 plastic toilet, the noise is coming from the upper section of the bowl as it fits over the lower section. We had the same problem. Replaced it with a Dometic 310 that has a porcelain bowl. No more noise!

Not worth your time worrying about it.

Replace the seat, they are not that expensive.

Would a spray of Pam on the hinges help?

I had to go out in my pajamas and see if ours made a noise. It did not. Glad I did tho as my husband had put a box on the stove and it would have fallen off when we traveled. Thank you.

Ha ha ha. Aren't we all so funny! Is this 8th grade gym class? Can't anyone bring up bathroom topics without the sophomoric humor? My daddy told me what the problem is. When I asked him what all the noise was in the bathroom when he was in there, he told me he was talkin' to the bears. Nothing to do with the seat.

Sounds like a cheap toilet seat, which is flexing under load.

My first response is "are you sure it's the toilet seat making all the noise?" 🙂

You might check the hinges and see if they are weak or failing. Also, if it's not a solid hard plastic seat, it might be soft plastic covered cardboard - which is very cheap and will lose it's integrity quickly with little weight put on it? If so, switch it out with a more expensive wood-based seat.
