Noob - Looking at Keystone Hideout

Hey folks, new guy here, looking at Buying a 2014 Keystone Hideout 26.5' with bunks. $16,490. I have heard good and bad about keystone. Should I buy this one or look elsewhere. Perhaps the Coleman line or something along that line. Help a new guy out that doesn't want to make a rookie mistake and buy a bad product. Thanks in advance.
  • You will hear good and bad about every maker of RV's. Only you can decide whats the right camper for you. If I had my choice between a Coleman and a Hideout I would take the Hideout every time but that is based on my experience with my 2006 Keystone Hornet (progenitor of the Hideout) which has been a great camper. Any RV you purchase could be a lemon, the key is to educating yourself on what you are looking at and the price point. Will any camper be flawless? Very doubtful, will most be managable with minor input from the owner? Sure will.
  • we really like our hideout, 27b, bunk house, no slides. the only thing i dont like is it is heavy. but i can still keep up with traffic. no truble since buying in 07, other than a def thermosstadt for the ac. you will like
