Northern Breeze Fan cuts off in AF 990

Question

I have a 2007 AF 990 with a reversible, variable speed Northern Breeze fan in the cabover.  Sometimes you can turn it on at a medium speed and it will run a good while and cut off.  I have Googled enough to see that there were problems with the NB fans control boards and they now only offer a single speed, 400cfm fan. Should I just replace the fan with another brand before it quits completely? Any suggestions that would work in the same hole and same wiring setup? Thanks in advance.

I would just change it out with a new Fantastic Fan. You can get those in variable speeds and they really do stand behind their product. I had a motor go out in mine about a year after I bought the TC and I called the factory. There were no questions asked and once they had the correct fan info they sent out a new motor to me the same day.
