We recently added flush nozzles to our tanks, does make it easy to rinse. For years prior, if water available used the wand, fairly effective, more so I think for cleaning, though really kinda of a pain. Hence install of the nozzles. I still periodically or end of a trip, 'blast' the tank with the wand. But have the option to dump at home. If no water available (for flushing) fill the toilet a couple of times and flush. Our grey tank the inlet and dump valve is at same low end so rinsing more important.
I also wouldn't let lack of a 'system' be a deciding factor. Especially if you frequent camps on the road and they don't have rinse water available or faucet screwed up or a type that doesn't allow and you to connect hose. Compromise the camper you really want to have that option and cant use 50% of the time- I think the term is 'that would suck'.
