Opinions and help...upgrading!!!

We are upgrading to a travel trailer and have found one we like very much but I wanted to get opinions and any concerns there may be with this model. It is a 2005 Fleetwood Pegasus 290BH.
Please give us any info that you may have or any idea where to find more information.

I agree. We bought a 1995 Sunline in 2009 and paid $2,000. Over the next two years I had to replace stuff that wore out, broke, malfunctioned. I spent about another grand and figured I was ahead because of the low initial purchase price.
We sold it for $4,500.

Assuming that you have thoroughly inspected the trailer and feel confident that there isn't any water damage and everything is working properly, it may be a good purchase for you. But, you also should assume that there will be some repairs or replacements in the future. You could be looking at major repairs or replacement of the refridgerator, AC, furnace and hot water heater. You really can't tell how long any of these components will last or whether they will just need a few new parts, but you have to be ready for those costs.

Our Sunline trailer was 10 years old when we traded it in, and it was still a great trailer aside from needing a little repair to the slide out. I'm sure that whoever bought it, if the price was right, got a good trailer that could still be going strong.

Just know ahead of time the typical costs for replacing major items such as AC and fridge and consider whether you can deal with it or whether you should buy something not as old and less likely (although stuff happens) to need major repairs/replacements.

So will everything else in and on the trailer!

Just like all of the other components of the trailer, the roof needs to be checked for serviceability. However, unless it has been abused by excessive washing, or cleaned with improper chemicals, that roof has decades of life left!

I believe that they are. my 94/5 vintage fleetwoods were. never again.
the 2005s may not depending on build level.

I have a 29 foot Coachman... rubber roof.. trailer was built 1/04, first titled 2005...

no problem the past 3 months in South Carolina MAD RAINS. 🙂 6.5 inches just this month.

check everywhere.. for any signed of leaks.. inside cabinets bottom of walls. everywhere. if no water damage and a fair price ?????
