Thanks for this. Do you feel the flip over couch could seat 4 adults or tow and two children? How does it compare to a regular dinette in terms of bed space? I like the extra room of the flip over couch but do I give seating and bed space over the dinettes? Thanks you have the same thing I’m buying so any help is appreciated!
I'm of 2 minds about the couch. It really opens up the interior, and is easy to flip down and make into a bed, and is long enough of course to lounge around under the window, instead of climbing in the cabover. OTOH, the table isn't all that sturdy, since it's supported by 2 legs in a line, and it does make it hard for a couple of people to sit and play cards or whatever. If you're camping with 4 people, I think I'd probably go with the standard dinette.
The other option we got is the side wardrobe in the cabover. That's excellent - gives significantly more storage. If there's a drawback to having that in the 992, it makes the only window on the curb side the small one over the galley, and makes the cabover fairly dark and feel more closed in, and you can't see what's making noise on the right side of the camper while you're in bed. But, I think the tradeoff is fine, especially since you're there to sleep.
The major drawback of the 992 is the access to the cabover, which is half (or less) the size of other campers. But for having the dry bath, we think it's more than a fair trade!
