Ouch a broken spring.
We about 100 miles from home I had a spring break.
I was towing about 60 mph on I-65 and a car passed pointing to my TT. Sure up enough, smoke was rolling. Smooth highways all day, no jarring bumps, just a pleasant drive home. Then boom.
I have a used 2010, 25 ft. Dutchmen with 28,000 towing miles on it in the last three years. When I stopped, the rear passenger side rim had a baseball sized dent, the tire was shredded and the spring was broken.
The front tire was fine and again I did not notice any bump or jar while driving. The top spring was broken about three inches from the frame mount. It was a clean break with no rust.
My question is, has anyone else had this happen?
