Our upgrade!
Well our '07 Cherokee was totaled due to hail. A smart man would have taken the money and ran, but we decided to upgrade to this. Curious about torsion axles but at least the trailer is light...and has more options.

You can lift torsion axle trailers. A good frame shop can a weld some flat steel to the side of the frame, or box steel under the frame to raise it. A lot of folks have done that to older Trailmanors so they could mount 15" wheels/tires and improve their clearance.
But then you'll probably need another step getting in ...
There is a thread somewhere that shows how to make the necessary brackets to raise the axle. Apparently, Jayco actually paid to have some of the JayFeathers raise up after owners had clearance problems. We saw a raised one in Florida one winter, and in addition to have to replace the single step with a two step unit, they had to change out the stabilizer jacks .....- sweet!!!! pics of the inside when you get a chance!

That's I nice looking trailer - we were eying those up at the local dealer before we found our current rig ....
