Like Jefe4x4 said, it was REALLY nice to see the people from the forum who attended. As interesting & fun as the Expo was, I think being part of our group was more fun.

I would like to send a special thank you to Steve & Sally for coming up with this great idea and to Bryan Appleby for his hard work and organization of putting the parts together.

I would also like to mention Truck Camper Magazine folks, Gordon & Angela who were camping with our group. On one side these people are just like you and me; these people are truck campers. They enjoy doing things and going places just like we do. We also got to see them at work and these folks work hard and our sincerely interested in helping their fellow truck campers and the industry make improvements.

Already looking forward to Overland Expo 2014!!

We had a wonderful time at the Expo and the best part for me was getting to meet all the RV net TC folks! Thanks to Steve & Sally for suggesting we gather at the Expo and to Bryan for pulling it together. Hope the next time we're together we get to gather around a roaring campfire!

Somehow I missed the plans to camp together, ended up in the Handycap area for my wife. We did get back to the TC area on Friday but came during the fireless campfire and didn't stay because we didn't dress warm enought and were freezing. Came back saturday met a few folks, but everyone was elseware. Met Wazoo Saturday afternoon just walking around. Sorry we missed meeting more of you. Sounds like maybe we should have a RV.net TC handycap area 🙂

It was a great rally. We are already looking forward to next year. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough time to really meet and get to know each participant and the Wolfman was one of them. Two days isn't enough, especially when you have an Expo competing for time. Here are a few pics I took (with several more pics of the Rally on my blog):

I'll post a more detailed trip report of the Rally and Expo after we return from our current Expedition in Southern Utah.

Hubby and I had a great time at the EXPO; what a great event for our first trip in our new rig.

Thanks to all of you for sharing your tips and tricks, and a big thanks to Chuck for the beacon flag.

Jefe, I thought that Cummins alarm clock sounded like sweet music. Helped us get an early start without setting our own alarm. We made the scenic drive over to Sedona, on to Jerome and then found some exciting remote forest service roads to explore. I think we camped in an "official" authorized dispersed camping spot. At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

BKA0721, I like the sounds of next years Expo ideas. Keep on taking beautiful pictures.

Aquawolfe, Hope to see you around again.

I want to also thank Steve and Bryan who helped organize this event. It sure was great to meet all the nice folks at the event. Hopefully, I will see some of you at the Montana TC rally at Glacier Park in July.

Take care and safe traveling to everyone.

I must say, this was an outstanding event to attend and enjoy. Many others are better at sharing the events and photos that were documented at the EXPO. Thank you for your words of support, dadwolf2.

One of my greatest pleasures, is meeting other RV.net TC owners, on my adventure here on the road and now I can count the EXPO as one of the locations to meet some of you. I will say that meeting many of you was the best thing about the expo, for me, and reaffirming the friendships that have begun with some of you.

A bit of Post EXPO news.
Many expressed that they would enjoy returning to this event, in 2014. I certainly took note of your comments and the 30+ Truck Campers (in our RV.net Truck Camping area) we had attending, as did the EXPO Event organizers. The Truck Camper Magazine documented almost 120 Truck Campers attending the event. They will be posting the details of the event in an upcoming article. Today, there was a meeting with the EXPO organizers and we are now planning on some 2014 EXPO Clinics that will be Truck Camper specific. We will be working with Truck Camper Magazine in putting a program and clinics together for this growing segment of Truck Campers, now attending the Overland EXPO.

Stay tuned.

Wolfman,
It was exceeding good to meet you and take a look at your molto capable rig. I see in my crystal ball a very hard-core trip in your future....maybe at the end of Sept.
We drove through Henderson yesteday on our 800 mile epoch drive home. Left 6AM (I'm sure you heard the Cummins Alarm Clack) and arrived home @ 10:30PM.
