Personal experience??

Just curious if anyone else has had any experience with Motor club of america (MCA)? Currently am with AAA and haven't had such a positive experience, to say the least. Considering switching to MCA for roadside assistance if I can verify others had positive experience... Last encounter with AAA I was told a tow would be arriving 45 mins from call time and long behold 3 hours pass before my driver arrives.. And that is only my most recent experience.

My experience also except my cost through my auto insurer was a third of what AAA wanted....ridiculous!
  • I had AAA for years then dropped them because the annual membership was just too expensive. In fairness, never had a problem with AAA service quality when I needed it. Have roadside assistance through my auto insurer now. About half the cost of the annual AAA membership.
  • It isn't AAA that failed you. AAA does not own the towing services they use. They are contracted service providers. And even then they may normally be great and just having an extremely busy day.
  • The only issue I've had with AAA is having them show up with a 2wd Ford ranger to jump my diesel. Even after I tell them I have a diesel they still send the Ford ranger.

That being said, I keep AAA because I have my home and auto insurance thru them so it's essentially free after the discounts.
  • I've never heard of the Motor Club. It sounds like a fly by night outfit. I would stay away from it and stick with a well known service provider.

If you're not satisfied with AAA, go with Good Sam or Coach-Net.
They are established, well known roadside assistance providers.
