phorid flys help
hi all .. living full time in my 26 ft travel trailer. I have a phorid fly issue.. bad. I need help..
Here is info I can give.
Im in South carolina.
I only have electric and water. I dump my tank with tote
I left the grey valve open previously so shower water could water plants. I have since put a loop in the hose and now leave it closed.
they seem to be in bath area and kitchen, but U cant tell where they coming from.
I have emptied tanks and sprayed bug spray down the black toilet.
I have poured bleach in each trap.
I have reset toilet to check seal.( there is always water in bowl)
I have fly strips out and caught several hundred.
I take out garbage often. today there were many in garbage thats under kitchen sink.
I pulled all access panels to check for rotting anything or wet anything... nope.
They also seem to congregate at bath fan. Trying to escape I assume. Fan door always closed and I have the fan cover on roof. Many pine needles up there
So the only thing I can think of is studor vents may be faulty? I pulled both and they move properly. They are ayrletts 6's
https://www.ayrlett.com/air-admittance-valves
I have exhausted all info and web stuff I can find. This is my last resort before I bomb the camper.
Im going to close all drains tomorrow after bleaching lines and getting new studor vents..
Anyone have any other ideas??
Thanks for your help.
