I had the HA when we had our TT....but like it was mentioned above, the PP3 is a newer version. PP3 would be my choice.
However, if you can (like I did last time) find a good buy on a used HA, you shouldn't hesitate to get it. You just can't go wrong with an HA.
As for the people who say their regular friction type WD/SC units (Equilizer, Dual Cam, etc) work just fine, are usually those who have never used an HA or PP3 and would probably change their tune if they had.
I've had just about all the different types and makes of weight distribution and/or sway control, and I can truthfully say that if I ever go back to pulling a TT again, it would definitely have either the HA or PP3 for a hitch.
