Prime time Avenger

We finally got the settlement on our insurance and have been looking at new travel trailers. The one that we have really fell for is the Avenger 27RLS touring Edition by Prime time RV. I know this is a Forest River company and have no problem with that because of how well our Surveyor was to us. I also know this is still a young company with a lot to prove and the quality we saw in the trailer was out standing.
I just want to hear from other Avenger owners about their experience.
Thanks in advance,
John
  • I had a 2013 Primetime Avenger 261LT and did not have a single issue with it whatsoever. I only traded it in because of an ever growing family and needed more space with a slide. Bought a new Kodiak which was around 5K more than our Avenger and had several (albeit minor) issues. I think PrimeTime makes a pretty solid trailer IME.
  • Thanks for your response AElliott6. From what we saw yesterday prime time appears to be building quality rigs. We went through several and all looked very well made.
  • My in-laws have a 26BH and like it. They have no complaints. Seems to be sturdy.
  • I have a 28bhs .I got it in August. The only problem I had was on my first trip the slide switch failed .other than the dealer issues like not setting up WD properly and not hooking up positive terminal on pickup it been good.
We have camped 24 days and towed closed to 800 miles .we love it and fit /finish is awesome. Love my leather couch. Very comfortably sleeps 2 kids ,4 xadults and a dog.
  • We got our Avenger 27BBS a couple of months ago and have had only minor complaints. Primarily little fit and finish things like screw not in completely or joints not fitting properly. We have enjoyed the modifications we have done to it like removing doors to entertainment center and replacing with an electric fireplace. My greatest improvement was adding Ground Control remote electric leveling system to it. They will lift the entire trailer off the ground. Enjoy your new trailer and make the changes to suit your comfort.
  • Our loan has been approved on the Avenger. We got a great rate and payment from our Credit Union. We hope to sign all the paperwork Monday and pick it up in two weeks.
We Plan to leave the dealership and go straight to a campground. It's been over two months since our Surveyor was totaled.
