Propane for fridge use?

Not sure if the propane is running the fridge. Have the fridge set on gas and the propane is on and works on other appliances.
Please let me know if th3er is a way to test?
Use this method when in tow to keep the bev's cold(beer AHHHHH)

thanks to all!!!
  • I can hear mine too. I place my ear against the fridge wall next to the stove when I switch it over to gas. When I push the button to switch to gas I can hear it ignite and then the soft whoosh of the propane burning. I can also hear the whoosh outside when next to the access cover I might use my finger quickly to check the heat but I am not going to use my tongue. Dumb and Dummer 3
  • I can actually hear the burner on mine when working. I would go with the burnt finger test or maybe put your tongue on it:p!!
    Happy camping

  • Mine has a "check" light that comes on when there is a problem with gas. I always stop about 20 minutes after leaving home and check the frig light ,the tires, and hubs.

You don't mention make or model of refrigerator, but these days they typically have a slide switch marked gas or "auto". If you have it on "gas" then yes, it's operating on propane (the fridge does require 12v power for the controls, so if your house battery is charged or you're drawing power from the TV through the wiring harness, it's all good). If the fridge is in "auto" mode, it will run on propane if you're not plugged in to 110v AC current; if you are then the heater necessary to operate the cooling system will be running on electricity.

    Instant Classic. I love it.
I think you should make an instructional youtube video.
