Propane Hookup - What do I need?

Hello Everyone,

Here's a link to a picture of the propane hookup for my park model trailer which is in the front. There is a similar one in the back which was capped by the manufacturer and I'm not planning on using. I'd like to hook up two 40lb cylinders.

Can anyone tell me what equipment I need to purchase and what safety procedures I need to follow.

Thanks,

Paul Bolden

The photo shows a flared fitting for connecting a low pressure hose. If this is where propane is being currently fed to, you could remove this fitting, take it to the other end, remove cap, install this fitting and then connect bottles via a regulator.

You will need a regulator, recommend an auto switch over by Marshall Brass.
Two high pressure hoses to go between the tanks and the regulator. Length will need to be determined by your installation.
A low pressure hose to go from regulator to the rig. Length to be determined by your installation.
A brass adapter to go from the rig's black iron pipe to the low pressure hose. You need to determine the size of the rig's pipe. Don't forget to get some yellow Teflon tape for the connection to the iron pipe.
You should think about the tank foot to go under the tanks to stabilize them.
No, I could not see the picture. I made a sketch in my head!
