propane tanks

I have two 5 gal and one 7 gal horizontal tanks plus I added another LP hose that tees into the other tanks and I can get propane from a vertical tank sitting on the ground.

My horizontal tanks in Fleetwood have fuel gauges, while 7G vertical tanks in Lance do not.
Makes much more convenience, not to mentioning that for my summer trips I remove 1 of the tank and have nice storage for snorkeling and BBQ gear on the side of horizontal tank.
The vertical space after removing tank in Lance is less useable.

I here 'ya..I wish mine had two 30's instead of the two 20's..Those 20's just don't last that long in the winter with heat needed 24/7 especially if you do the exchange thing..Were looking for our last TC we will ever buy and the Arctic Fox is high on our list because of the 30# tanks..My wife wants the 865 even without a slide out which surprised me.

When I bought my TC with the older horizontal tanks,I cleaned them up and painted them and took both over to the local propane distributor..He looked them over and explained the grandfather clause on horizontal tanks and then put some new stickers on them and sent me down the road...I was worried about having to buy new but I didn't..

I live in a low crime area too and my camper sits pretty close to me too.

I have feral attack cats for protection.

Mine aren't locked simply because we live in a very low crime area and the camper sets like 10ft from the kitchen window with motion detector flood lights and most importantly,a Blue Healer attack dog...lol

I found out how expensive they were with my first camper. It originally came with 2-5 gallon and some had replaced them with 1-7 gallon and I wanted to put it back to 2-5s until I saw how much they cost.

If they want them they will get them, even deltabravo's.

That looks like a good way to secure you tanks but I've never worried about mine getting swiped.

Horizontal propane tanks are almost 5X as expensive to replace compared to the vertical tanks..

Manchester 20# horizontal tank for RV with gauge-$179 on Amazon..Locking RV propane tanks is quite common because of theft..

Mine go in here. They are horizontal tanks.

I'm hoping to make it to AZ next month to see some friends.
