Protective Coatings

Hi all,

We are new to the world of Campering. We just purchased a new 2017 Kodiak 243BHSL. We have two weeks before we pick it up which gives us time to make a few decisions in dealer offerings. I think we have pretty much decided that the extended warranty isn't worth the money based in the forums.

What we are trying to decide on first is really the protective coating. They are offering the Trident Protection Systems. Right now they are quoting $1700 for the exterior, slide, interior, and awning. The dealer is advertising this as a product that is applied and then the trailer doesn't need to be covered (skeptic on that). Big question is does this actually do anything. It can still be waxed, so does this help protect it even more.

If it isn't needed... What should be done to protect the TT in a similar manner... In other words, what do I apply to cushions, is a cover a must, is just a simple wax enough 1or2 times a year.

I'd love to hear feedback from anyone who has actually used this system.
