Prowler black tank flush

I noticed that the black tank flush on our Prowler 32PBHS is on the other side of the trailer. Why in the heck would they do this? I am assuming I need to carry an extra hose to connect to the water supply and walk around the trailer at the dump station in order to flush it? I wonder why it's not mounted right were the dump outlets are?

Does anyone else find this odd?

I have never used my flush at a dump station. I rarely use dump stations as I try to get a fhu site every third day or so and can dump/flush at my convenience.

I'm sure if yours is that way, others are too. I have not seen any on the opposite side, but I suppose it is a cost cutter, and easier install for the manufacturer.

It would be a pain at the dump station, I'd just dump a bucket of water down the stool and call it flushed. :)

I never thought about that, all this time I have been doing it the hard way with a hose and wand that I stick down the toilet. This is the first camper I have had a flush option, but dumping a couple buckets of water down the toilet is easier than messing with a hose at the dump station.

I do the wand thing at home after a trip as I have a place to dump at home, but to dump on the road I just run extra water into the black tank before I dump where stayed. Each to their own way some might be better than others your pick.
  • "OK gang.........listen up"

"15 units out the door today......be it 1pm or 5 pm doesn't matter"

"YOU get paid by the 'piece' so lets get that stuff installed"

" Get set--------GO GO GO GO!"
  • I almost never use my black tank flush at a dump station. It is just quicker/easier to dump some water down the stool. I always leave a few gallons of water in the black tank when finished, to slosh around, and to keep any left over solids from hardening.

I do use the flusher if I'm leaving from a full hookup, rather than a dump station. In your case, it wouldn't be such a hassle either, if on a full hookup.

  • I agree it should be from the opposite side but they could have put it on the same side as the outlets and ran tubing to the other side. I was just curious to see if any other trailers were like this.
  • Shortest distance between two points.......Yes it is odd.
  • the flush system should shoot water in to the tank from the side opposite the drain for good flushing.
