Well sorry you understood wrong because I can send my 6.7L to the nearest Cummins distributor's service department like Cummins Southern Plains and they can fix and warranty anything engine related.
This is of interest to me. When I inquired about service through Cummins NW they told me due to FCA's proprietary engine management, they could not work on them. They are willing to sell me parts, but were not willing to even do scheduled service much less repairs.
I'm sure FCA warranty claims that are Cummins related are charged back to them, but I do not think Cummins handles FCA customers directly. If this is different, enlighten me - I am posting this based on my experience between Navistar and Ford.
