Question for Ford mechanics 2006 F-250 3v 5.4?
I have a 06 Ford F-250 with a bad 5.4 in it that I got for next to nothing. Do you have to take the cab off to change out the motor? Does the 06 F-250 have the torque shift transmission?

Don't really need it for towing already have a Diesel and a V-10 long bed crew cabs. This is a single cab to run around town that I might leave at the seasonal site.
With all the cam phaser issues I don't know if I could trust a used 5.4. I'm wondering about a rebuilt long block? Most of the used engines I see have high miles. I don't know what would be acceptable mileage on a used 5.4?
