question regarding cover. need tips

My trailer has the gutter extensions that came factory and extend out about 2" on all four corners to divert the water off the trailer. BUT I am afraid to use my ADCO cover as I fear the four corners will tear from these gutter extensions. Anyone have a trick on something they use to prevent this from tearing my cover on all four corners?
Thanks

Our cover came with little sock type padded things for the spouts.

anyone ever cut slits where on the 4 corners where the gutters stick out?
If not I feel all the pressure on the 4 corners is going to break my factory extended gutters

It the permanent gutter type. I put the noodle trick over them last night but now I notice my cover is putting a moderate amount of pressure on the gutters and I don't want them gutters to break. I may cut small slits in my cover so the gutters don't get broken.

Are they the clip on type extensions or just the longer gutter extension. my trailer has the normal length spout, it is no longer than the gutter itself. I bought 2" extensions to keep the water off the side of the trailer. if they are the permanent type then the best thing I heard was using tennis balls with holes cut in them that fit over the spout.

Old socks!! :B

I always KNEW there was a reason to keep them!

Sorry ... That just struck me as funny.
The point is, that just about anything that pads the spouts will work.
Experience is that which you gain immediately after you actually needed it.

Swim noodles cut over the sharp edges works very well and cheap.

I use pipe foam insulation and cut it so it goes out a little past the gutter. Wrap it with a wire tie good to hold it on. Haven't had a issue yet.

Put some bubble wrap or other 'padding' type of material over them somehow.. I use clear packing tape to hold padding to my sharp edges for my cover.. Still using the same cover after 10 years of use.. ๐Ÿ™‚
