I have to say I’m sad to hear this. If I could get away with a 1500, that is the engine I would want. Unlike the horror stories you hear online, my EcoDiesel Grand Cherokee was great. Clicky

Well it's all water under the bridge now. They want us to all go electric. I wonder what the EPA would say if I built a propane powered steam engine car or truck that could pull a trailer?

I'm old enough to remember way back when on RV.net a lot of people said if they would just make a 1/2 ton diesel I would buy it.
I was holding out for a Ford F150 diesel but they brought out the EB instead.

I predicted this a while back and ever since Ram got scolded by the EPA for their emissions violation and had to stop production and sales, the EcoDiesel never really got back to mainstream and never seen a commercial on them again.

Same as this whole thing about them getting rid of the Challenger and Charger. They're not selling well or they would find a way to keep making them.

Does Nissan still even make that Cummins thing? That thing cost as much as a 3/4 ton and got the fuel mileage of a 3/4 ton and had a payload of a Dodge Colt.

Nope the Titan/Cummins is looong gone.

Locally diesel is 50% higher than reg gas. That takes the shine off owning a diesel unless one really is needed for towing. And most trucks are not used for towing.

While I believe that to be the case with the Eco Diesel, it is certainly not the case with the LX platform vehicles.
It's the goobermint regs that made it too expensive for Stellantis to keep offset fuel economy and emissions standards.

Putting 10-ply tires on half ton trucks since aught-four.
