ram 3500 oil change
2015 Ram 3500 diesel has 4800 miles 7 months new. dealer said I need to do oil change now. 2nd dealer says not yet, when should I computer says 62 left

I think I may just have a 15k personal service policy. Oil & filter, Air and fuel filters at every 15K. That's easy to remember.
Viscosity increased which could be the oil is starting to oxidize and the TAN number has probably went up as well. Copper is really high but I'm guessing that maybe coming from the oil cooler. Iron is still high even after a short drain interval from the factory oil. These are the attributes I would review and consider for my next OCI.

Fish, not sure how you determined that Cummins's Viscosity increased? He only posted a single sample without any previous samples. It is my multiple samples on my second report that has a history of several changes. I currently change at 10K which works out to about 12 months.
Look at the amzoil product data sheet for viscosity. Also you don't need multiple analysis to form a trend to review viscosity like u would wear metals.
