Shop around. There was a Chrysler dealer selling authentic Chrysler warranties for much less than Chrysler wanted.

I have no affiliation with them other than they gave me a much better deal than Chryysler. They also gave me 12 months to pay with no interest.
Let me know if it works out for you
+1 on this. They might have a better price.
I've never been one to buy extended warranties, but the electronics and things on these latest vehicles is so complicated and expensive, I will buy one for my next vehicle. I am favoring a Jeep and will get the lifetime max care. But then, I expect to keep the Jeep for 15 or 20 years so I am quite confident I'll get my money's worth.
A 5/100 coverage is another equation entirely, so it's hard to say just how you'd make out. If you buy a vehicle that turns out to be trouble-free, or if you sell it earlier than you expected, or if it gets wrecked, they will probably come out on top. If you have just two or three nagging or semi-expensive problems out of warranty, you come out on top. So, like Clint Eastwood might say, "Do ya feel lucky?" :)
