Recall for 2015 Silverdo

Just received a notice from GM that the 2015 trucks might have a brake line heat shield missing - under a recall, the dealers will peek at it, and if missing, will install it at no charge.

Doesn't seem like a huge deal, but heat does strange things to fluids sometimes - so for those that didn't get the notice and own a 2015 PU, you might want to check with your dealer.

Just ran my vin with GM, nothing for my 2015.5 GMC Denali 3500. She gets to keep her zero returns to the dealer status.

Yeah in case anyone didn't hear, it was declared by the leadership that it was "too big to fail".

:) Hi, no; GM stopped making those V-6's because they were too tough. Also they removed all mechanical advantages that the GMC had over the Chevrolet. Only thing left is the name plates. Note: if you have one of those V-6's, make sure that you blow all of the dirt in the intake area before removing the spark plugs so the dirt doesn't fall inside of the plug holes.
  • We had a small tanker truck with the next size up and the engine never gave us a problem. The little tilt cab Ford eat an engine once a year or so. Chris
