- mike-sExplorerWiring at the control box.
It has been decided the vehicles in this recall population may have wiring at the air conditioner that was not installed according to the air conditioner manufacturer’s instructions. If the thermostat wires short together, there is an increased risk of damage or fire to the unit... The remedy is to separate the wiring at the control box of the air conditioner.
Recall notice. - N2AntiqueOakExplorerThe place we bought our Premier from sent a tech out 4 days after we called. Took him 15 minutes and he was gone.. No parts, just rewired at the thermostat.
- steve-n-vickiExplorerI fixed mine today, very easy fix took 2 wire nuts
- Target13ExplorerI asked Keystone to give me details of the fix. They refused.
- GaryWTExplorerMy dealer told me it would take 10 minutes. Trying to get some other things done as well at the same time.
- steve-n-vickiExplorerthis what you have
this is the recall
the red wire /white stripe and little thermostats wire are removed from the purple wire and red wire connection , and are hooked together - jerseyjimExplorerFriend of mine has a Passport, problem with the fridge (under warranty) but then the dealer found this exact a/c wire thing. Fixed it...but charged $ as that was not under warranty (trailer is 2 years old). Now...with the recall, he is going back for a refund.
Hope he gets it. - Target13ExplorerThanks, Steve-n-Vicki. It's nice to be able to double check that it was done correctly.

- BizmarksMomExplorerThey need to add 2 wire nuts to the air conditioner wiring system.
My trailer is in for a fridge repair. The recall added 10 minutes to the technician's time.
