If you have a ACE Hardware, Home Depot, Lowes, or Manard near by they all sell 20 Amp receptacle. Or is because you are trying to match the one you want to take out?

To answer that question you really need to determine the power consumption of your microwave. Check the owners manual. Provided the consumption is less than 15 amp you should be OK.

That will be hard to find at any local supply houses - other than wanting one, any 20 AMP receptacle will do. When I added a under the counter coffee maker I opened up the covered part & used it for the coffee maker. Don't know why they cover the extra space up though.

What is the amperage of the circuit breaker for the microwave? If it is 15A or less a 15 amp receptacle will be fine. Most microwaves draw less than 15A.

As michers said, you will have to find out the current drain of the microwave. It should also be marked on the microwave. If it gives you the power, watts, divide that by 120 to determine the current.

Just ensure the wiring from the 20 amp breaker to the outlet is also rated for 20 amp.

15 amp and 20 amp outlets are interchangeable as long as the appliance has a 5-15 plug.

If it's an RV type of receptacle with the guillotine terminals, you'll have to get it through an RV dealer/supplier. If it's similar to a household receptacle with terminal screws on the sides, any 20 amp receptacle will work. If you don't want a duplex receptacle (why wouldn't you?), there are many choices for a single. If you buy a single, you may have to buy the cover plate, also.

What I would do if it's an RV type receptacle is to replace it with a shallow old work box and install a new duplex 20 amp receptacle with a new cover plate. Total cost would be around $8.
