  • Just got done replacing that front curved piece on our 1990 Shadow Cruiser. Thankfully the inside paneling was l that was dry rotted, apparently from a previously fixed leak at one edge of escape vent. Found no frame rot and roof solid so just replaced old insulation with heavy duty stuff recycled from construction site and new strip of paneling. Had already resealed entire roof full of seams around everything. We are fortunate to have a 30x50' barn to store it in when not on the truck so repairs easier to deal with.

  • removed front panel had a 16" wide spot on front edge of 1" thick roof plywoodwhere it meets aluminum front appears to only jotten in about 2 inches mainly soaked the masonite and made it bubble. i resealed it on the 12th and we had agully washer down pour the next day no leaks. now have heater on it to dry for next few days then treatwhat i cant replace. dont want to replace roof or cut a section out and scab in a piece.should get a few more yearsout of itwith no problem i was on the roof where the bad spot was and couldnt tell. then to get a sheet of 1/8 " vinal/plastic and put in the front it looks like frp with no fiberglass.
  • too many irons in fire. mon.10/13 will start removing stuff from bed area this morning, may get panel out today.will see about taking some pictures,i'm too old to be very computer literate always worked with hands have a bad case of CRS and short term memory so scrap note pad and phone camera help.

the 2 previous owners kept in in sheds so bad sealant mostly due to age.will see if there is any wood damage when get panel out.

  • I'm experiencing the same issues as you but mine is on the curb side of the camper. I'll be taking mine in next week to get the problems fixed. It looks like the roof and decking needs to be replaced also along with the ceiling panel in the bedroom area of the cab-over. I'm not looking forward to the expense of it all but it has to be done before Winter.
I wish I knew something about the Apache 8.65SE by Sun Valley to help you out but I don't. I did have at one time a Sun Lite 800SE but I traded it in for the one I have now.
Best of luck to you on your fix.
