  • I replaced my Suburban cook-top with a 24" Smeg residential cook-top. The install was fairly straight-forward. I had to enlarge the opening and I had to fill the cut-out in the front of the counter. I built a drawer to fill in the front.

    You will have to make sure that the cabinet is wide enough to accommodate the cook-top you intend on installing.

    One thing to keep in mind is that a residential unit needs 120vac for the igniter.
