Rico-Titan Jack covers cracking

We have Rico-Titan jacks and we are on the second set of covers and they are cracked. Does anyone else have this problem and if so, how did you fix it? Looks like duct tape might be in order. The covers cracked on the bottom and DH swore he didn't over tighten them. The TC is stored under cover so this hot Fl sun doesn't take its toll on our camper. It's aggravating because DH likes to take care of our stuff.

    I have Atwoods and other than the decals coming off, no issues. Hopefully, someone else will have a fix.

    Where are they cracking? It could be from shrinking/growing with temperature changes. If that is the case, synthetic washers might help.

    I'd sent a message to RT in Illinois. They always seem to be attentive to customer issues.
