Rockwood Mini Lite Trailers

I sold my last trailer just over 18 months back and am now looking to purchase a new trailer. My last trailer (bumper pull) was a Jayco Jay Feather LGT 25Z with a single slide. I bought it new and had zero problems with it. For my wife and I it had far more room than we ever needed or used. I've been looking at the Rockwood Mini Lite trailers recently and have found a floorplan we both like, the 2304. I specifically want the Murphy Bed, holding tank heating pads and a few other available options. My problem is that I cannot locate any of the Mini Lites in my area to get a hands-on look. Anyone out there have any experience with this particular line of trailers? I spoke with a dealer and his one negative comment was that they were "leakers" due to the lightweight construction. All help/advice appreciated. Oh, I'm towing with a new Ram 4X4 HEMI.

Second year for our new 2305s and no problems yet. Love the Murphy bed and fishing rods do store nicely behind the bed or under the couch.

We got our Rockwood Mini Lite 2304 new on a trade for our much smaller Mini Lite ETC in 2012. We have found the 2304 to be a perfect couples unit and the floor plan makes for comfort and convenience. We really like the Murphy bed option because not only very comfortable, it allows the 2304 to pose as a 27-30 ft no slide unit. We have had no major problems after some 5000 miles of towing. The unit, fully loaded for a two week trip scaled at 4580 lbs last summer and like you, we tow with a Ram 1500. The 2304 tows nicely giving a smooth ride from the torsion suspension.
As for the fishing rods, they should stow nicely behind the sofa.

Been towing my Rockwood since 2006 and have over 80,000 towing miles on it. It's been solid gold from day one. One warranty issue during the second year of the factory warranty and that saved me $35.00.

Thanks for the info regarding the Murphy Bed. I was not aware of the underneath storage problem. As many fishing rods as we normally carry, that would be a problem. Thanks.

We're starting our second season with a Mini-Lite 2109S. No leaks, no problems with it really. I would buy another Rockwood in a heartbeat.

One thing about the Murphy bed Rockwood models, if you have not already discovered, there is NO pass through storage. There is an opening on one or both sides where the pass thru access normally is, but you might fit a shoe box in the space there, that's about it. I considered the Murphy bed modesls, but lost interest in them due to the lack of storage -- wasn't acceptable for us.

Google Forest River forums and go there to find discussions of the model you are interested in.

Good luck!

We have a 2011 Rockwood Mini Lite 1809S TT this is the third season for it & the only leak we had was around the roof mount A/C - don't think that had anything to do with it being lite weight.
