I wouldn't think leveling would affect only the fridge and not the freezer. There's a single cooling unit for both.
How long have you had it running? On a hot summer day mine takes every bit of 8 hours to cool the fridge down to 40-50 degrees.
There's a sensor clipped to one of the fins inside the fridge. Its position up/down sets the balance of cooling between the freezer and the fridge. I *think* sliding it up higher makes the fridge cooler.
